0.0.3 is ready for testing!


Hello Listeners, Today we're finally releasing the next version of the Prototype with LOTS of much-needed Quality of Life changes to improve immersion. Please see the patch notes below for further details:


PATCH NOTES:

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ New Features

          Main Menu:

  • NEW: Options Menu - Includes tabs for Video and Audio settings for optimisation in Lower-Spec systems  

            Dev Note: This includes GPU detection for Automated defaults chosen when the game is opened for the first time

  • NEW: Freeplay Menu - Allows players to replay already discovered Fragments (beatmaps) in the 'Campaign' game mode
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when players would attempt to return to the Main Menu with no Save Data.
  • Extended the seizure warning screen's duration on game start-up for better readability.

          RHYthm Gameplay:

  • NEW FRAGMENT! : 'Opus'

           Dev Note: This beatmap was designed to be a test of stamina for players and to see if our internal editor can handle songs that dynamically change their Average BPM at any given moment. Be careful Listeners, this fragment is a marathon and NOT for the faint of heart!

  • Adjusted the PlayerCharacter camera to give players more time to react to obstacles.
  • Adjusted Timeline placement for better visual clarity
  • Added outlines to Timeline symbols for better visibility
  • Beat lines and obstacle markers now layer correctly
  • Increased Timeline symbol size for clarity
  • Added Hold bars via a temporary block visual for held input notes.
  • Fixed menu credit text and spacing in the Game Over and Score Summary screens
  • Now shows the high score as the current score if you beat the current record.
  • Fixed issue where stacked jump towers would overlap symbols on the Timeline HUD.
  • Removed input symbols next to obstacles outside of the Timeline HUD.
  • Adjusted Jump tower inputs to respond to 'Spacebar' instead of the 'A'/'D' Keys.

           Dev Note: This is an experimental change we're testing to see if players have a better chance of completing fragments without tweaking the difficulty of individual beatmaps.
